Additive Manufacturing – sculptur.se

3D printing and materials

Large scale

Sculptur is driven by the vision of utilizing new additive manufacturing processes and business models. Together with part-owner and robot integrator Spectram we develop the technology for the future.

Our first print hub’s main system is based on an ABB industrial robot equipped with an extruder capable of printing up to 35 kilos an hour. Our building measurements reach three meters in height and 2,1 meter in width. Due to a slide, the robot sees no limit in lenght.

These specs enables us to handle a versatile range of assignments, being it your special interior design, a new product, a special fixture or maybe your next boat?

Materials

Let us help you choose the material, or even bring new material to the market.
Most materials can be improved with flame retardant or UV stabilizer.

rPP

Recycled polypropene with or without glass fiber. A thermoplastic used in all kinds of manufacturing. Enforced with glass fiber the objects can withstand tougher environments. The glass fiber also gives minimal shrinkage.

Coffee

This is waste from Swedish coffee producer Löfbergs, and it´s based on the silver skin lost during the roasting process, combined with recycled polypropene. It smells coffee after the production!

Fishing net

Recycled fishing nets and fishing equipment. Choose from PET- or PP-based polymers. Also available: saw dust inforced (30%) for better performance.

rABS

Recycled ABS plastic gives a shiny surface. It’s durable and impact resistant. Recycled ABS is used in car interior and medical equipment. Different colors availible.

Wood fibre

A composite based on
20-50% wood fibres combined with bioplastic (PLA or PP). Possible to recycled up to ten times using ordinary shredding.

Metal

Wire-Laser Metal Deposition is a Directed Energy Deposition (DED) process that functions by precisely stacking weld beads on top of one another using metal wire introduced into the laser generated melt pool.

The Meltio system is the only metal 3D printing process able to deliver fully dense and affordable metal parts within a few hours.

The wire deposition utilizes 100% of the material and the heat input is kept extremely low making this system a very cost effective 3D metal printing technology.
